Master the Order

Small-group mat classes focus on precision, consistency, and flow, helping you develop a practice you truly own.

Classical Pilates.

No fuss.

Let’s be honest: walking into a new fitness space can feel a bit daunting.  Will I fit in?  Am I wearing the right gear?

Frome Pilates Studio is a total sanctuary from all of that.  Born and bred in Frome, I have spent nearly a decade helping clients build genuine strength and practice with true precision.  I opened the studio to teach authentic Classical Pilates simply because the system works – it builds deep strength, fosters mastery, and meets your body exactly where it is today.

There are no audiences, no performances, and no egos here.  Turn up exactly as you are, do the work, and feel entirely at home. (And yes, we’ll have a laugh too.)

My Classes & Sessions

I don’t do crowded rooms, giant classes, or fitness gimmicks.  Just honest, structured movement designed to help you feel and move better.

Take a look at the options below – just click on each one to expand the details and see what to expect:

An hour entirely dedicated to your body, your goals, and your pace.

Who it’s for:  Whether you’re a complete beginner wanting to learn the ropes, recovering from an injury, or looking to focus on specific physical goals without the noise of a group.
What you’ll get:  A session designed entirely around how you move.  I will adjust every exercise and piece of apparatus in real-time to match your strength, mobility, and how your body feels on the day.
Why do it:  It is the most straightforward, practical way to learn the system, build strength safely, and get direct, honest feedback from me on your form.

Train with a friend, partner, or family member.  You get the same close supervision, but with a shared dynamic.

Who it’s for: Two people with similar fitness levels or goals who want to train together, keep each other accountable, and keep things a bit more cost-effective.
What you’ll get:  A structured, balanced session where I coach you both individually.  We’ll work hard, but my focus is always on proper technique and making sure you both progress safely.
Why do it:  You get my undivided attention and precise coaching, a bit of shared motivation, and none of the fuss of a big class.

Intimate, form-focused mat classes.  I keep my class sizes small on purpose so I can actually coach you.

Who it’s for:  Anyone who enjoys the energy of a group but hates crowded gym classes where you get lost in the back row and ignored.
What you’ll get:  A proper, flowing mat workout.  Because there are only a few of you in the room, I can actually see you, correct your form, and offer modifications the second you need them.
Why do it:  It is a simple, down-to-earth way to build a consistent movement routine with a small group of people who just want a good workout.

Training & Ethos.

I teach authentic, Classical Pilates because the original system works. My training is rooted in the direct lineage of Joseph Pilates, focusing on the precise mechanics, order, and deep physical integrity of the method.

The classical system is vast, which is why my practice doesn’t stand still.  I am deeply committed to continuing education – regularly studying under world-class master teachers deepening my knowledge, refining my own eyes and ears, ensuring you get the most precise, effective coaching possible.

When you train here, you aren’t getting a modern, diluted hybrid. You are getting the real work, tailored entirely to the body in front of me.

"Laura helped me use Pilates to ease hip & joint pain associated with menopause. 1:1 support that worked at my pace & with what I needed. I was a complete beginner to pilates before this."
